{"Job Title": "Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to provide comprehensive vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Division of Rehabilitative Services (DRS) to deliver quality workforce services and assist individuals with disabilities to make informed choices that will maximize their employment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide guidance and counseling to individuals with disabilities to help them achieve their employment goals
* Conduct interviews and evaluations to assess the needs and abilities of individuals with disabilities
* Develop and implement individualized plans to help individuals with disabilities achieve their employment goals
* Collaborate with the Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare to provide vocational services to clients with severe mental illness and substance misuse
* Maintain accurate records and reports to track progress and outcomes

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a closely related field
* Demonstrated knowledge of the social, economic, medical, vocational, and emotional issues impacting persons with disabilities
* Strong interviewing, evaluation, and counseling skills
* Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, and the professional community
* Ability to organize and manage multiple and sometimes unrelated responsibilities in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications:

* Current CRC credential
* Knowledge of the principles and practices of vocational service delivery to persons with disabilities
* Knowledge of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance requirements
