Travel X-ray/Radiology Technologist Job Description

At PSG Global Solutions Careers, we're seeking a skilled Travel X-ray/Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you'll have the opportunity to work with top healthcare companies across the US, performing diagnostic imaging procedures and assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, adhering to department protocols and procedures.
  • Locate and record internal body elements, identifying any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts.
  • Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
  • Review tests with peers and physicians.
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested.
  • Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
  • Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, and log data into patient information systems.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and adjust or refer for repair.
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
  • Comply with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedures.
  • Maintain technical competency through continued education and training.
  • Administer contrast agents under the guidance and approval of site Radiologists.
  • Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states where services are performed.
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
  • Make calls for service and notify team members.
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of hospital setting experience, specifically in ER, OR, Trauma, and Portables.
  • Valid ARRT license, registered in Radiography.
  • Valid CPR certificate.
  • State license (considering candidates without, willing to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment and initiative.
