Role SummaryEnergy Systems Southeast, LLC (ESSE) is actively seeking motivated individuals for the role of Apprentice Electrician. This position is essential to our growth as we undertake various projects involving the installation of power systems and electrical services.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Apprentice Electrician will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the maintenance and installation of electrical systems within commercial environments and telecommunications sites, including components such as main distribution panels, transformers, and emergency generators.
- Traveling throughout the Southeast region, with travel accommodations provided by the company.
- Learning to interpret and work with electrical schematics and construction drawings.
- Participating in civil work tasks such as grounding, trenching, and conduit installation.
- Utilizing testing equipment to ensure proper electrical function and safety compliance.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations, including the National Electric Code (NEC) and OSHA standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant electrical experience.
- A valid driver's license with a clean record; CDL is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass a drug test as part of the hiring process and throughout employment.
- A strong work ethic characterized by initiative and a willingness to tackle challenges.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including both AC and DC circuits.
- Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook.
