KPC Promise Hospital of AMARILLO is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, and other areas as required
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory of cleaning materials
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery
- Participate in infection control and prevention initiatives
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning process
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One to three years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hospital setting
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
The Environmental Services Technician will be required to:
- Walk up to 80% of the time
- Stand up to 80% of the time
- Kneel up to 50% of the time
- Sit up to 10% of the time
- Push up to 25% of the time
- Bend up to 50% of the time
- Squat up to 50% of the time
- Pull up to 25% of the time
- Reach up to 50% of the time
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Perform wrist and finger movements up to 90% of the time
The Environmental Services Technician will be exposed to Category II risks, which may include exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
Equipment and ToolsThe Environmental Services Technician will be required to operate and maintain the following equipment and tools:
- Computer
- Copy machine
- Fax machine
- Telephone
No certifications are required for this position.
