We are seeking a talented and knowledgeable baker who possesses a strong understanding of various baking techniques and the impact of ingredients on dough. The ideal candidate will stay informed about industry trends and innovations. Bakers play a crucial role in ensuring the freshness of ingredients and customizing recipes to meet the diverse preferences of our culinary establishments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review the production schedule to ascertain the types and quantities of baked goods required.
  • Accurately measure and combine ingredients to create dough or batter, adhering to established recipes.
  • Transfer dough into appropriate pans, molds, or sheets, and bake in the oven while monitoring the cooking process and making necessary adjustments.
  • Utilize a variety of kitchen equipment, including electric mixers, baking pans, rolling pins, and cutting tools.
  • Oversee the baking process to identify and implement any required modifications.
  • Handle and transport ingredients, tools, and baking trays efficiently.
  • Manage mixing and oven operations with precision.
  • Execute recipes as specified or innovate new ones as needed.
  • Package finished products for storage or delivery, ensuring proper labeling and maintaining product integrity.
  • Potentially create new recipes to enhance our offerings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all coolers and storage areas, ensuring proper rotation of ingredients.
  • Uphold the highest standards of sanitation and safety in the workplace.
  • Report any unsafe conditions and ensure all work areas are secure.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

This position is full-time and offers comprehensive benefits after 90 days of employment. Compensation ranges from $17 to $19 per hour, with negotiable pay based on experience.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and have completed a Baker/Patisserie Apprentice Program or a Baking and Pastry Arts Management program. A broad knowledge of ingredients, baking equipment, and safety precautions is essential. The ideal candidate will be patient, detail-oriented, creative, and organized, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
