We are seeking a passionate and skilled baker who is knowledgeable in various baking techniques and understands the impact of each ingredient on the final product. The ideal candidate will stay informed about industry trends and be responsible for maintaining the freshness of ingredients while customizing recipes to meet the diverse preferences of our culinary outlets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review the production schedule to identify the types and quantities of baked goods required.
  • Accurately measure and combine ingredients to create dough or batter, adhering to established recipes.
  • Prepare dough in pans, molds, or on sheets, and monitor the baking process, making necessary adjustments.
  • Utilize a variety of kitchen equipment, including mixers, baking pans, rolling pins, and cutting tools.
  • Oversee the baking process to ensure quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed.
  • Handle and transport ingredients, tools, and baking pans safely.
  • Control mixing and oven settings to achieve optimal results.
  • Follow existing recipes or innovate new ones to enhance our offerings.
  • Package baked goods for storage or delivery, ensuring proper labeling and maintaining product integrity.
  • May contribute to the development of new recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all coolers and storage areas, ensuring proper rotation of ingredients.
  • Uphold the highest standards of sanitation throughout the baking process.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by reporting any hazardous conditions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $17-$19 per hour, negotiable based on experience
Benefits: Full benefits available after 90 days

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Baker/Patisserie Apprentice Program or Baking and Pastry Arts Management program.
  • Extensive knowledge of various ingredients.
  • Familiarity with baking equipment and techniques.
  • Understanding of safety precautions related to potential hazards.
  • Must be patient, detail-oriented, creative, and organized.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
