About the Role

This contracted School Psychologist position is available in Chesapeake, VA. We seek a dedicated professional with a passion for making a real difference in the lives of students.

Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations to understand and address student needs, developing individualized plans that cater to their unique requirements.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with teachers, parents, and professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring a seamless and supportive learning environment.
  • Counseling & Guidance: Offer expert support and counseling to students, guiding them towards personal and academic success through regular check-ins and progress monitoring.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support during emergencies and critical incidents, leveraging your expertise to ensure the well-being of students and staff.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and student progress, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Education: Hold a Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field, with a strong foundation in research-based practices.
  • Licensure: Possess valid state licensure, demonstrating your expertise in assessment, intervention, and consultation.
