Estate Host

At DAOU Family Estates, we are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Estate Host to join our team. As an Estate Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a memorable experience for our business clients and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Coordinate and confirm guest reservations and appointments in a timely and gracious manner.
• Schedule and choreograph appointments to ensure a smooth flow of guests through the tasting room.
• Welcome and direct guests to their appointments, providing facility information and general assistance as needed.
• Assist in preparing daily tasting and event schedules for winery staff.
• Build and retain relationships with guests through engagement, follow-up, and outstanding customer service.
• Describe tasting room options with accuracy and enthusiasm to guests.
• Manage reservations and seating to maximize traffic and ensure a positive experience for guests.
• Collect and maintain accurate guest data and communicate with managers as needed.
• Utilize reservation software and maintain accurate records.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team, including delivering food, processing orders, and pouring and describing wine.

Requirements:

• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to function and communicate effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Strong understanding of the English language.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and non-traditional business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Success Factors/Job Competencies:

• Prior hospitality and customer service experience is recommended.
• Professional personal presentation and a friendly, outgoing personality are essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, and adapt to changing job requirements.
• Knowledge of Paso Robles wineries, restaurants, and hotels is a plus.
• The ability to speak French and/or Spanish is a plus.
