Estate Host

At DAOU Family Estates, we are seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Estate Host to join our team. As a key ambassador for our winery, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

• Coordinate and confirm guest reservations, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for all visitors.
• Manage the scheduling and choreography of appointments, ensuring a smooth flow of guests through the tasting room.
• Welcome and direct guests, providing facility information and general assistance as needed.
• Assist in preparing daily tasting and event schedules for winery staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with guests, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
• Describe tasting room options with accuracy and enthusiasm, highlighting the unique features of our winery.
• Manage reservations and seating to maximize traffic, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all guests.
• Communicate with managers and staff to ensure seamless execution of events and tastings.
• Utilize reservation software to accurately manage guest data and ensure up-to-date information.
• Assign tables to wine educators, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all guests.
• Keep merchandise neat and stocked, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
• Communicate guest reservation information to wine educators, utilizing the chit system to ensure seamless execution.
• Support onsite events, providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to function and communicate effectively under pressure, exemplifying grace and poise.
• Must be punctual and reliable, with a strong understanding of the English language.
• Fast-paced, customer-facing work environment with non-traditional business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Prior hospitality and customer service experience recommended.
• Professional personal presentation, with a strong focus on customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a polished, professional, and friendly manner.
• Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, adapt, and show flexibility to changing job requirements.
• Knowledge of Paso Robles wineries, restaurants, and hotels is a plus.
• The ability to speak French and/or Spanish is a plus.
