English Instructor

Patrick Henry Community College is seeking qualified English Adjuncts to teach courses in a classroom environment to students with diverse academic backgrounds and experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective instruction to students in a variety of academic settings.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental and institutional goals.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in English or a closely related field.
• 18 graduate credits in English may be substituted for a masters degree.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to utilize computer and other technologies for instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Availability to teach classes in person.
• Community college teaching experience.
