Staff Pharmacist

Key Responsibilities- Prepare, compound, dispense, and sell prescriptions and pharmacy-related products
- Answer patient questions and participate in patient assistance and quality assurance programs
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Prescribe and validate prescriptions
- Assist with the direction and monitoring of pharmacy personnel and performance
- Prepare and maintain controlled substances
- Follow proper pharmacy and regulatory safety procedures and standards
- Oversee return to stock processing
- Consult with physicians and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions
- Provide patient/client counseling and education
- Monitor storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals
- Maintain a positive and respectful work environment
- Document and report medication errors to the Pharmacist-in-Charge
- Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
- Active pharmacist license in Florida
- Prior experience in a compounding pharmacy (a plus)
- Flexibility to work variable shifts as needed
- Strong understanding of medication administration and pharmacology principles
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
