Key Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering therapies to patients experiencing breathing difficulties due to cardiac or pulmonary conditions, under physician supervision. Key duties include:

  • Operating mechanical ventilators and therapeutic gas administration devices.
  • Conducting tests to assist in diagnosing respiratory issues.
  • Providing emergency care, including artificial respiration and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications: CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support), State License-Respiratory Therapist.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift between 50-100 lbs.
