Job Title:
Senior Specialist, Software Systems Engineer (Active TS/SCI Poly Clearance Required)

As a Senior Specialist, Software Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a Systems Engineering team in design, development, implementation, testing and training of/for battle management systems for our warfighters.

This position supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together.

Lead the design and development of system/subsystem products with the guidance of senior technical personnel.
Interact with customers and provide input to project managers on the programmatic and technical deliverables.
Provides guidance, coaching and training to other employees across the company within area of expertise. Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.
Frequently conducts briefings to senior leaders and customers. Establishes tactics for group with short- to mid-term impact on results (e.g., Recommends new products, processes, policies, standards, or operating plans in support of job function strategy.
Able to lead design and execution of Acceptance, System Level, Integration, and Unit test phases, with heavy emphasis on test automation to support Behavior Driven Development
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
Alternatively, 4 years of prior related experience with a Graduate Degree
Experience with SAFe or other large scale Agile implementations
Experience with working with software development teams and associated Agile development processes
Experience in supporting modeling, simulation, and analysis of software systems
Experience with Agile approaches to software development
Familiar with Java or similar object-oriented languages enabling one to read and follow the logic of the code written.
Experience working with JSON and XML files often used for data exchange and API definitions.
Experience in Python, Java, MATLAB, RHEL/Linux
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
Ability to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.)
Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
Digital engineering experience
