Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Youth Opportunity Investments, LLC. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment to youth and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment plans.
- Provide ongoing evaluation, assessment, and counseling to youth and their families under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed mental health professional.
- Document the clinical course of treatment, including weekly progress notes, master treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, and aftercare/transition plans.
- Develop youth behavioral health discharge plans and aftercare plans.
- Assess the dynamics and functioning level of each family in your caseload and formulate and implement intervention plans.
- Collaborate with leadership and performance improvement activities by conducting periodic reviews to ensure compliance with YOI policy and agency requirements.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or a related human services field.
- Two years' experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse problems.
- Sound understanding of group leadership, group dynamics, and experiential education.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
