Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Big Ticket Order Picker Operator to join our team at Macy's. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for efficiently handling all tasks related to material handling and stock movement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently pick and stage furniture and bedding products for loading, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to customers.
  • Operate an Order Picker safely and effectively, wearing Fall Protection as required, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Report any equipment failures, damages, or safety concerns to the safety committee and provide feedback on environmental issues affecting safe equipment operation.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
  • Meet established goals and objectives, and contribute to the overall success of the warehouse team.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional documents, including safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Resourceful self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology, including RF scanning equipment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking around the warehouse.
  • May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, and frequent use of computers and other technology.
  • Manual dexterity, visual acuity, and ability to lift and move up to 250 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet.
