Position Summary
The Mechanical Quality Assurance Inspector serves as the project representative, responsible for the execution and upkeep of the quality management system.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct external inspections on in-service equipment including Shell and Tube Exchangers, Drums, Columns, Piping, and Tanks.
- Perform internal inspections for Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, and Exchangers during Turnarounds and Inspections (T&I).
- Document findings in inspection reports, pre and post-testing, and T&I reports, as well as worksheets in SAIF/SAP.
- Review Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports.
- Inspect fabrication processes, including welding and coatings.
- Communicate identified defects to the relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate NDT results to identify defects and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Engage in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and other technical discussions.
- Maintain and update records for static equipment and piping, along with historical data.
- Verify and authorize repair activities on static equipment and piping.
- Conduct annual surveys and additional field inspections as per corporate guidelines.

The role assumes that the incumbent possesses both the mental and physical capabilities to perform the aforementioned duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Over 5 years of experience in In-Service Inspection within a Refinery setting.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card.
- Valid Driver's License with a reliable driving record (required).
- Proficient knowledge of midstream/gas plant/NGL type equipment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft software and various IDMS platforms.
- Understanding of relevant national codes and standards, specifications, drawings, and data sheets related to multi-discipline construction projects.
- Must be fit for duty.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An Associate or Bachelor’s Degree is advantageous but not mandatory.
- API certifications (API 510/570) are a plus.
- Additional certifications (NACE, ACI) are beneficial.
- Experience with AutoCAD (ACAD) is a plus.
- Relevant inspection certifications such as RT, UTSW, MT, PT, ET, IR, TOFD, PA, VT Level II are also considered advantageous.
