Job Title: Cashier/Sales Associate

Job Summary:

The Sales Associate's primary responsibility is to drive sales by consistently providing exceptional customer service, supporting our mission of being "the most helpful hardware stores on the planet."

Key Responsibilities:
  • Puts "Customers First, Tasks Second."
  • Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements and provide this information to customers.
  • Execute the daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
  • Continually work on increasing knowledge of the products we sell and their uses.
  • Merchandising skills and abilities.
  • Recognition of merchandising issues, stock problems, pricing concerns, labeling and signage issues, etc. within your area of responsibility and/or the store as a whole; and notification of management on these issues.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, will train high school students.
  • Possess a willingness to learn.
  • Establishing relationships and working with customers.
  • Trade skills accompanied by a personality that will support our Core Values and mission is a plus but will train.
  • Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
