Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter Paramedic to join our team at American Medical Response (AMR). As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services and fire suppression duties to protect life and property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fire safety inspections and provide information to the public on fire prevention and safety.
  • Respond to emergency fire alarms and provide fire suppression duties, including applying extinguishing agents and operating fire equipment.
  • Provide emergency medical services, including evaluating situations, transferring patients to medical facilities, and providing medical procedures on scene and in a moving vehicle.
  • Conduct daily and weekly vehicle and equipment inspections and ensure all discrepancies are documented and reported.
  • Participate in required training sessions, including live fire drills, performance evaluation drills, and ongoing skills maintenance.
Requirements
  • IL certified BOF
  • IL State issued EMT-P / Paramedic
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Must possess IDPH EMT-/P license
  • Illinois certified BOF
  • AHA CPR card
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Successful background investigations with MVR, & criminal records
  • Physical fitness/agility
  • Drug/alcohol screening
Education Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
