About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at California Temp Services, Inc.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Redesign: Design new hardware, redesign existing hardware, and perform modifications to PCBAs to improve their reliability and manufacturability or expand product capabilities.
  2. Ownership and Management: Provide extreme ownership of avionics hardware for flight across all areas of the product life cycle.
  3. Improvement Initiatives: Drive changes to electrical schematics and mechanical drawings that improve reliability and manufacturability.
  4. Problem-Solving: Perform root cause investigations to characterize off-nominal unit behavior and mitigate risk.
  5. Issue Resolution: Derive engineering justification to resolve production issues throughout assembly, test, and product integration.
  6. Testing and Validation: Design test setups and execute hardware validation through benchtop and environmental testing.
Key Requirements:
  • Circuit Design Expertise: Ability to design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout software.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 standards, Tolerance analysis, Computer Aided Design, solid modeling.
  • Manufacturing Understanding: Working knowledge of practical manufacturing techniques, quality assurance requirements and all factors affecting product/program costs.
  • Tool Familiarity: Knowledge of analytical tools such as SolidWorks and its analysis suite is preferred.
  • Communication Abilities: Ability to organize prepare and present materials to customers, suppliers and/or company management at all levels.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
  • Work Experience: 2+ years of experience in electronics hardware design.
  • Technical Skills: 2+ years of experience with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, signal generators, oscilloscopes) to verify hardware functionality.

Annual Salary: $85,000 - $110,000.
