Part-time Treatment Support Technician 2

Gateway Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Treatment Support Technician 2 to join our team in our Half-way House, Washington, PA location. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating programming and ensuring the integrity of the therapeutic milieu.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate discussion groups and activities to promote patient engagement and growth.
  • Monitor patient behavior and provide support to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Conduct handbook orientation and assist patients in completing assessment forms.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical staff and patients, providing clear and concise information.
  • Assist with phone calls to family members/friends and referral sources, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Participate in crises intervention and provide support to patients in need.
  • Transport patients to meetings and appointments, if applicable.
  • Document involvement with patients in progress notes and maintain accurate records.
  • Collect urine samples and complete paperwork for drug screening, as necessary.
  • Provide post-discharge contacts/referrals under therapist direction.
  • Monitor medication taken by clients and document accordingly, if applicable.
  • Work in the gift shop, manage menu and nutrition needs, and manage donation and patient requests, if applicable.
  • Monitor smoke breaks in the hospital setting, if applicable.
  • Complete intake paperwork as needed and monitor clients' ADLs, including chores, behaviors, and grooming issues.
  • Remain on duty until relieved and attend mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Some college education.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Pass a PA Criminal History Record Check.
  • Obtain PA or a State Child Abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances.
  • Obtain CPR/First Aid training.
  • Pass Drug Screen and TB Testing.
  • Ability to remain awake and alert while on duty.
  • Must attest to at least 18 months in recovery from substance use disorder, if living a life of recovery.
