GAI Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the contractor's work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Perform highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests.
- Coordinate with and take instructions from other senior inspection staff.
- Interpret plans and specifications.
- Monitor contractor's work for compliance with contract documents.
- Conduct construction documentation, including written reports and taking photos of onsite operations.
- Track site quantities, including construction math computation.
- Verify permit compliance and materials, including taking field samples at required frequencies.
- Two (2) years of experience in construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
- FDOT Concrete Field Tech certification.
- FDOT CTQP Asphalt Pav Tec certification.
- FDOT CTQP Earthwork CI certification.
- FDOT CTQP Final Estimates certification.
- FDOT Drilled Shaft certification.
- FDOT Pile Driving certification.
- Traffic Signal Inspector certification.
