CEI Inspector

As a CEI Inspector at DRMP, you will be responsible for performing complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests.
Key Responsibilities- Document contractor's work efforts daily.
- Prepare and maintain project field books and documentation.
- Prepare and document density log books.
- Conduct material sampling and testing.
- Assist with preparation of the Final Estimates package.
- Verify accuracy of construction activity/layout dimensions.
- Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of construction activity/installations.
- Observe work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Obtain and prepare material samples for laboratory testing.
- Examine workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards.
- Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods.
- Maintain daily logs of construction and inspection activities.
- High school graduate or equivalent plus two years of experience in construction inspection, one year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
- Or a Civil Engineering Degree and FE (or EIT) Certification with the ability to earn additional required Inspector qualifications within the initial year of employment.
- Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I.
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level.
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I.
- FDOT Intermediate MOT.
- Nuclear Radiation Safety.
- Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors.
- Complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course, and submit the mandatory Certification of Course Completion form (for structures projects).
- Position requires a minimum of 40 hours a week with the possibility of overtime (Hourly).
