Job Summary

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse II Subacute Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Subacute Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine patient care assignments and work in controlled patient situations under the direction of a SAU Registered Nurse.
  • Assist the RN and physician staff in clinical data collection and procedures within scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in continuing education programs, unit-based task forces, and committees to stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • One (1) year current experience in an acute or long-term care setting.
  • IV Certification.
  • Current California license as a Vocational nurse (CT LVN).
  • Current CPR (CT CPRBLS).
Preferred Skills
  • Demonstrate proficient nursing skills and Medical and Ventilator skills.
  • Demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude towards others.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a stressful environment with remaining calm, efficient, and focused.
  • Actively participate in continuing education programs and unit-based task forces.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
