In this role, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and physician staff to provide routine patient care assignments, work in controlled patient situations, and perform established nursing procedures. You will also assist with clinical data collection and procedures within the scope of your practice.
Responsibilities- Provide routine patient care assignments and work in controlled patient situations
- Perform established nursing procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse and physician staff
- Assist with clinical data collection and procedures within the scope of your practice
- Collaborate with RN as a partner in the patient care team
- Demonstrate proficient nursing skills and Medical and Ventilator skills
- One (1) year current experience in an acute or long term care setting
- IV Certification
- Current California license as Vocational nurse (CT LVN)
- Current CPR (CT CPRBLS)
- Demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude towards others
- Demonstrate ability to work in a stressful environment with remaining calm, efficient, and focused
- Actively participate in continuing education programs, unit-based task forces, and committees
- Seek opportunities for improving job knowledge and skills
