Job Title: Child Nutrition Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Child Nutrition Assistant to join our team at Franklin County Schools. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our students receive nutritious and delicious meals in a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to students
  • Help maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Assist with food ordering, inventory, and record-keeping
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and parents
  • Work collaboratively with the School Nutrition Manager to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in food service or a related field preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:

This is a dual employment position that requires the ability to work as a bus driver. The employee must be able to acquire and maintain the appropriate licensure to drive a school bus.
