About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in a school setting. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing students' communication skills, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students' communication skills, including articulations, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, to identify communication disorders and develop recommendations for treatment.
  • Collaborate with various groups and individuals to communicate information, resolve issues, and provide services in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate meetings and processes for eligible students, including testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, and pre-referral staffing, to present evaluation results, develop treatment plans, and provide training to parents/students/staff.
  • Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students to minimize the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success.
Requirements
  • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
