Job SummaryThe Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to individual patients, promoting optimal drug therapy and safe use of medications. They will also be involved in reviewing clinical trial protocols, setting up specific clinical trials to dispense study medications, and assessing patient-specific data to evaluate the patient's status and medication needs.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with medical, nursing, and allied health staff to provide optimal patient care. A bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an accredited college or university is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a hospital pharmacist. Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent practice experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Provides pharmaceutical care to individual patients, including review of clinical trial protocols and setup of specific clinical trials.
- Assesses patient-specific data to evaluate the patient's status and medication needs.
- Develops and implements medication use systems to ensure safe and effective medication use.
- Collaborates with healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care.
- Participates in performance improvement activities and professional development initiatives.
