Job Overview

Chase Brexton Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team. As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for performing all tasks related to medication dispensing, educating and counseling patients and caregivers regarding medication outcomes, providing drug information services to providers and consumers, and serving as a pharmacy representative to health center committees as requested.

You will also assist in student preceptor programs and participate in research programs where appropriate. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records, perform monthly narcotic audits, and take responsibility for organizing drug information resources in the pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining drug inventory levels commensurate with utilization
  • Performing monthly narcotic audits
  • Organizing drug information resources in the pharmacy department
  • Educating patients on medication use
  • Triage patients to other providers as necessary
  • Providing accurate information to providers and patients
  • Attending weekly case conference meetings
  • Attending monthly staff meetings
  • Serving on CBHS committees
  • Precepting pharmacy and pharmacy tech students

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)
  • Current Maryland State Pharmacy License in good standing
  • Desirable: Medication Therapy Management certification; Board certification Disease management
  • Desirable: Previous pharmacist experience in a high volume retail setting
  • Attention to detail and sense of urgency
