Senior Project Manager - Transportation Design Services

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Transportation Design Services team in Massachusetts. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex transportation projects, managing project teams, and developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplined project teams to deliver transportation projects on time and within budget
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and monitor and control project performance
  • Perform Quality Control/Quality Assurance of key deliverables related to transportation projects managed by others
  • Implement CDM Smith's quality procedures throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist with marketing and business development efforts to further expand our client base and project opportunities with New England region transportation agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 years of related experience
  • PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list)
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license, highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, or related degree
  • Previous experience managing transportation design projects for MA, NH, and/or RI
  • Previous experience managing urban design programs for multimodal transportation projects
  • Previous experience assisting with the proposal process and presenting/meeting with transportation clients
