Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced SETSS provider to work with a delightful 3rd grader who requires 1:1 support in a school environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, related service therapists, and parents.
Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 support to the child in a variety of environments, including the classroom and other settings as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, related service therapists, and parents to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Complete and compile daily notes, progress reports, goals, and educational materials for teachers and parents, ensuring compliance with state and city regulations.
- Attend professional development courses and in-services to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Must understand sensory processing and behavior modification techniques.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Present a professional demeanor and maintain punctuality and dedication.
- Master's Degree in Special Education.
- Students with Disabilities (Birth-2) Teacher or equivalent (Special Education) Early Childhood Education certification.
- Background check, fingerprinting, and DOE/NY State registry paperwork.
This is a part-time opportunity to provide 1:1 SETSS to a child in a school environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled at parent communication and able to work collaboratively with the school team.
