  • Lead the SQF Certification Program: Oversee the company's SQF certification program, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to maintain certification.
  • Perform Customer Audits and SQF Audits: Conduct regular customer audits and SQF audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and Maintain the HACCP Plan: Develop and maintain the HACCP plan, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
  • Communicate with Regulatory Agencies: Communicate with regulatory agencies, such as the USDA, regarding preoperational or operational inspections.
  • Develop and Maintain Quality Control Systems: Develop and maintain quality control systems, including Pest Control, Self-Inspection, Supplier Management, Safety, Microbiological Testing, and Defense.
  • Conduct Pre-Shipment Reviews: Conduct pre-shipment reviews to ensure that all products meet quality and regulatory standards.
  • Perform Microbiological Tests: Perform microbiological tests on finished products, environmental, and direct food contact surfaces.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Computer Skills: Possess strong computer skills, including analytical abilities and experience with equipment and food-processing equipment.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control Processes: Have knowledge of quality control processes related to the food-processing industry.
  • Familiarity with Quality Process Control: Be familiar with quality process control, HACCP, SSOP, and SOP.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Standards: Have knowledge of USDA and FDA standards.
  • Education and Experience: Possess a Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university and five-plus years of quality control experience in a food-manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications: Hold HACCP Certification and SQF Certification (preferred).
  • Real USDA Experience: Have real USDA experience.
  • Experience in RTE Environment: Have experience working in a Ready-to-Eat (RTE) environment.
  • Experience with Multi-Location Operations: Have experience with multi-location operations.
