Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Inspect and repair electrical, steering, braking, and suspension systems
- Work with hydraulic, body control, and electrical systems on refuse vehicles and transfer trailers
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient and effective repairs
- 4+ years of experience as a journeyman mechanic in the waste management or recycling industry
- Knowledge of DOT Out-of-Service Criteria and compliance audits
- Experience working with diesel engines, heavy equipment, and fabrication tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions
