Operating Room Nurse - Full Time

Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star is seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, including medication administration and wound care.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical histories.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Minimum two years previous OR experience.
  • Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
