Role Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Surgical First Assistant is to support the surgeon and registered nurses during surgical procedures. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the surgical team.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager/Director

Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Associate's Degree preferred
Essential Skills:
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision are required. Candidates must thrive in high-pressure environments and respond appropriately to challenges.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Certification as a Surgical/First Assistant is required upon hire.
