Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class B Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards.
  • Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight.
  • Count and verify the accuracy of customer invoices.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and inventory reports.
  • Unload products from the trailer and transport them to designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required.
  • Load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean.

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL-B license.
  • 12 months of driving experience with a Class B license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and move product cases and freight of varying size and weight.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
