Job Summary

The Facility Security Officer will be responsible for managing daily security activities, enforcing control, and ensuring security policies are strictly followed. This is a full-time onsite position that requires an active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Manuals and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) as well as specific program requirements
  • Manage and enforce DoD security programs and requirements, including multiple classified contracts (DD254s)
  • Conduct and prepare for Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) audits and interface with auditors as needed
  • Develop and administer security education training; conduct foreign travel briefings and debriefings; prepare, review and track DD254s; maintain security documentation as required
  • Conduct in-processing of new employees to include execution of SF 312 Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA); Program Access Requests (PARs); Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIAs); and other customer vetting processes as required
  • Manage and initiate personnel clearances and process visit access requests (VARs) in Defense Information System for Security (DISS) as well as all other applicable access documentation as needed
  • Provide employees with personnel security guidance consistent with the 13 adjudicative guidelines to assist them in managing their clearances
  • Manage and Operate physical security concepts to improve security in-depth posture
  • Manage Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems in accordance with DoD and UL 2050 standards including managing badges, access cards, and visit request
  • Maintain an effective document inventory and control program for the management, shipping, and receiving of classified material
  • Investigate, document, and report security violations
  • Coordinate data transfers, scanning, and copying data to/from external media

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of related experience OR 10-12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience can consist of any time spent as an FSO, AFSO, CPSO, Security Manager, or military security manager
  • Security Clear Secret
