Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Trinity Health. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists in the administration of anesthesia and monitoring of patients.
  • Operate and maintain anesthesia equipment, including ventilators, anesthesia machines, and monitors.
  • Prepare and maintain anesthesia carts and supplies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anesthesia care plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree in Anesthesia Technology or completion of an accredited anesthesia machine training course required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card required.
  • Familiarity with basic anesthesia machine troubleshooting, basic pharmaceutical knowledge, aseptic techniques, sterilization, and disinfection knowledge of supplies and equipment required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner required.
  • Certification as an anesthesia technician and one year of experience as an anesthesia technician preferred.
  • Human Anatomy, Airway Anatomy, and Medical Terminology knowledge preferred.
