Job Summary

University of Utah Health seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a patient-focused organization, we exist to enhance the health and well-being of people through patient care, research, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures through the application of ionizing radiation to produce images for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Provide direct patient care and may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to state law.
  • Apply the principles of radiation safety during the process of acquiring radiographic images.
  • Facilitate and coordinate imaging support in the operating room, patient care units, and clinics.
  • Assess patient vital signs and conditions when indicated during procedures.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and service entity.
  • May assist in orienting, training, and mentoring new employees or students on department workflow, practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare, clean, and stock rooms with supplies and linens.
Requirements
  • Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah.
  • ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technologist R.T. (R) (ARRT).
  • Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, such as medical equipment, or patients while providing medical care.

Carrying, climbing, crawling, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling and/or pushing, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping and crouching, walking.
