Job Summary

The University of Utah is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT and special procedures using CT scanners, operating portable imaging devices, and coordinating technical services in the operating room.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and special procedures using CT scanners, including portable and angiographic high-pressure injectors.
  • Operate portable imaging devices, such as the Portable X-ray machine, O-Arm, and C-Arm.
  • Coordinate technical services in the operating room, ensuring seamless communication with surgical staff.
  • Communicate with surgical staff to establish correct site, type of surgery, and placement of equipment in the room.
  • Perform angiographic or radiology interventional procedures, maintaining the integrity of equipment.
  • Assist in reducing waste by properly utilizing resources and materials provided.
  • Approach management with proposed solutions to problems.
  • Ensure new procedures and protocols are implemented as designed.
  • Analyze images for quality and perform necessary radiology functions in Epic Radiant.

Requirements

  • ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technologist (R) (ARRT).
  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, such as medical equipment, or patients while providing medical care.
