Key Responsibilities- Assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining the physical integrity of the community, including ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment.
- Perform assigned duties in a safe manner, adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service while assessing and repairing properties.
- Perform basic and advanced HVAC repairs, electrical repairs, and light plumbing work, as well as carpentry and painting tasks.
- Assist in custodial and grounds work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning windows.
- Respond to work orders and resident concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete accurate records regarding preventive maintenance and work orders.
- Report any maintenance or resident-related concerns to the manager and/or supervisor in a timely manner.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- One-year experience or training in carpentry, light plumbing work, light electrical work, painting, refurbishing, and cleaning.
- Proven knowledge and application of codes, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug test screening.
The Maintenance Technician will work 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required for emergency, on-call, or scheduled shifts. Overtime hours may be required.
The successful candidate will be exposed to dust, dirt, solvents, paint, and other cleaning supplies. They will be required to use hand and power tools in a safe manner and wear eye protection when required for safe job performance.
