Heat Treatment Specialist

As a Heat Treatment Specialist at Vallourec - North America, you will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment to harden, anneal, and heat-treat metal. This role requires a strong understanding of heat-treating charts and methods, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate equipment, such as furnaces, quenching machines, and electronic induction machines.
- Determine the types and temperatures of quenching media needed to attain specified part hardness, toughness, and ductility.
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper running conditions.
- Adhere to API and quality standards, as well as OSHA safety standards and departmental Lock out Tag out policies.
- Perform level 1 maintenance, preventative maintenance, and 5S.
- Enter and validate data manually and using a computer.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Basic math skills
- Computer skills
- Ability to lift maximum 40lbs
- Willingness to work rotating 8-12 hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
Working Conditions:
- Work in outside environment conditions
- Operate overhead, and floor crane
- Operate forklift and scissor lift
- Work in confined spaces for equipment maintenance
