The Total Quality Specialist is responsible for overseeing continuous quality monitoring and product improvement for assigned suppliers. This role utilizes technical knowledge to evaluate finished products, identify quality trends, resolve quality and production issues, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of manufacturing processing methods, becoming a subject matter resource for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor ongoing compliance with specification adherence through regularly scheduled product evaluations, restaurant visits, and onsite supplier visits, recommending process enhancements to improve quality and ensure the food safety of assigned products.
  • Monitor incident reporting system and restaurant weight logs, providing timely responses and resolutions for operators.
  • Utilize knowledge of the restaurant and manufacturing industries to maintain and improve the quality of Raising Cane's products through processing, storage, and distribution.
  • Schedule and lead discussions around product showings and reviews.
  • Conduct physical evaluations to ensure compliance with specifications, including measurements, recordings, documentation, label review, and pictures.
  • Document product reviews and provide recap notes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support by gathering samples for external lab or analysis from third-party partners.
  • Proactively support honest and collaborative relationships with suppliers, gaining trust and providing consultation on product and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all internal stakeholders involved in product and supplier development and quality oversight.
  • Ensure quality expectations and specifications are met, and that suppliers develop and implement corrective and preventative actions in response to specification deviations.
  • Monitor the real-time temperature monitoring program, ensuring the food safety of poultry through distribution with timely follow-up and resolution to all temperature alerts.
  • Ensure adherence to HACCP, GMP, and good sanitation practices within assigned production facilities.
  • Develop a broad knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI) standards and ensure adherence to the standards within food processing facilities.
  • Monitor, communicate, and proactively ensure compliance with laws and regulations impacting food processing.
Requirements for Success:
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality assurance, restaurant, or food manufacturing environment.
  • Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word preferably incident and inventory management systems.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to keep up with the fast pace of a high-growth company.
  • Highly organized, ability to manage multiple priorities, and adaptable to change.
  • Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all written and verbal communication.

  • Position may require up to 30% travel.
  • Bachelor of Science degree, with a preference for those holding a degree in Poultry Science or Animal Science.
