Sr. Project Engineer - Electrical Safety, Plano, TX

Intertek's Electrical team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification for a variety of electric products, including appliances, consumer electronics, lighting, medical devices, information communications technology, HVACR, industrial, and energy transmission and distribution.

Our dedicated professionals help ensure the quality, safety, and sustainability of electrical products used by people throughout the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform testing and evaluation on a variety of products to the provisions of U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards.
  • Write reports and communicate with clients.
  • Provide local expertise in one or more product categories and mentor and train less senior technical personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 4+ years directly related experience.
  • Microsoft Office expertise.
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate (25%).
  • A valid driver's license and reliable driving record.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior project management experience in a work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards, i.e., ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC.
