Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

At the Ohio Department of Commerce, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care and support to patients of all ages
  • Administer medications, including oral and intramuscular medications
  • Collect and document vital signs and other patient data
  • Assist with medical procedures and surgeries
  • Participate in patient care planning and treatment team activities
  • Respond to emergencies and provide emergency care
  • Collect and process patient specimens
  • Prepare patients for release and/or transfer
  • Ensure discharge medication orders are completed and timely forwarded to pharmacy services
  • Participate in work-related training and all institution training exercises as assigned
Requirements:
  • License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by Ohio Board of Nursing
  • MDS certification issued by ANNAC
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong background in nursing
