We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at AYR Wellness. As a key member of our medical cannabis team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and education.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Patient Consultations: Provide personalized consultations to patients in an in-person setting, utilizing your expertise in cannabis pharmacology to determine the best treatment plan.
- Verify Patient Certifications: Ensure that patients have the necessary certifications for medication, adhering to all relevant statutes and regulations.
- Compliance and Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of patient medical and financial information, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and ensuring compliance with all relevant directives.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Research: Remain current with company research on the palliative and curative potential of cannabis, enhancing your understanding of its medicinal value and potential to alleviate symptoms and debilitating conditions.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Participate in outreach and education programs with physicians and other healthcare providers to promote the benefits of medical cannabis.
- State Licensure: Possess a valid state license to practice pharmacy.
- Education: Hold a minimum of a BS Pharm degree, with a Doctorate/Pharm.D. preferred.
- Experience: Have a minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a customer-facing pharmacy setting.
- Customer Obsession: Demonstrate a commitment to creating a remarkable experience for patients, building rapport and trust through effective communication and empathy.
- Relationship Building: Foster meaningful relationships with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues, promoting a culture of mutual respect and trust.
