Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Phoenix Stamping Group is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our manufacturing engineering team in driving process improvements and equipment upgrades to support our company's growth and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor the Manufacturing Engineering team to achieve departmental and company objectives.
  • Oversee the sourcing and design of new equipment, manufacturing cells, and processes to ensure alignment with our product and process mix.
  • Develop and implement standard work, process improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Evaluate process capabilities to ensure optimal quality, utilization, and efficiency.
  • Drive equipment and process standardization across all manufacturing plants.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of visual factory tools and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of standard work instructions as a continuous training tool.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Engineering to build and execute the department's long-term strategy and vision.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing project management, and/or operations of high-volume manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and implementing manufacturing process and equipment projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading data analytics and presenting insights to management and teams with diverse technical backgrounds for strategic decisions.
  • Experience with CNC equipment a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement through team building and process change.
  • Lean manufacturing and quality system experience required (ISO 9001:2015 preferred).
  • Autodesk AutoCad, Inventor, or similar modeling experience.
  • Microsoft Office and Epicor or other ERP Software required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Self-directed/organized, strong work ethic, positive attitude, works well in teams, customer-focused, and accountable for actions.
  • Must be willing and able to travel ~25% of time.
