Job Overview

Cutting Edge Printing - Tampa is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of all phases of the project, providing operational support to our clients, and providing effective leadership to our internal teams.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily production meetings to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Monitor incoming and in-production orders to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Follow established systems and procedures to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Determine and set priorities for the production area to meet client deadlines.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Order stock and supplies as needed to minimize waste and spoilage.
  • Reject poor-quality or incorrect jobs and schedule them for rework when necessary.
  • Initiate employee appraisals and disciplinary measures according to company policy.
Requirements
  • Three years of supervisory experience with 3 or more employees.
  • Good math and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions for machine set-up and maintenance.
  • Ability to lead and build a team.
  • Knowledge of all facets of print production, including digital press, bindery, prepress, and copying.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with computerized pricing/estimating programs.
  • Ability to serve customers by taking orders and processing them accordingly.
  • Ability to accept and produce copy jobs as needed.
  • Compliance with all OSHA safety requirements.
  • Experience with maintaining various print production equipment, digital presses, cutters, and bindery equipment.
