Imaging Operations Specialist

Job Overview
The Imaging Operations Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the management team by guiding frontline staff to achieve the organization's objectives related to safety, quality, patient satisfaction, compliance, and operational efficiency. This position may involve various imaging modalities and is essential in coordinating daily team functions.
Position Details:
- Benefits Eligibility: Yes
- Work Hours: Full-time (36 hours)
- Shift Schedule: Tuesday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM; Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM; Sunday and Monday off
- Additional Information: Shift differentials available for evening, night, and weekend shifts

Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identities to ensure the accuracy of medical records exchanged with external facilities.
- Track and verify orders, ensuring proper alignment of images with corresponding requests, report distribution, and preparation of call reports.
- Assist patients as needed throughout their imaging experience.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and various examination types.
- Apply knowledge of HIPAA regulations appropriately in all interactions.
- Exhibit professionalism in communications with nursing staff, colleagues, and other healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with coworkers to enhance teamwork and efficiency.
- Proactively address and resolve issues related to equipment, maintenance, and staffing.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience in a similar environment is required.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves frequent interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and visitors, necessitating clear verbal communication and the ability to quickly comprehend spoken information, alarms, and patient needs, especially in emergencies. The position requires visual acuity for reading information and labels, assessing patient needs, and operating equipment with precision. Regular computer use and documentation are essential, along with the physical capability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
