Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures accurate patient identification, verifies orders, and prepares patients for imaging procedures.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to patient needs throughout the imaging process, providing clear explanations to patients and their families to enhance cooperation and reduce anxiety.
  • Conducts radiologic examinations that yield high-quality images while prioritizing patient and staff safety by adhering to established protocols, proper positioning, and effective equipment usage.
  • Utilizes sterile techniques during invasive procedures.
  • Recognizes urgent patient situations and responds promptly and appropriately.
  • Completes all necessary documentation accurately, including timestamps and image storage.
  • Coordinates patient care and communicates essential information to other healthcare providers following procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff, ensuring supplies and equipment are efficiently stored.
  • Pursues ongoing education and professional development opportunities, particularly in new procedures and technologies.
  • As needed, assists and mentors students and fellow imaging specialists in protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment usage.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • ARRT registration.
  • Current Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice (if applicable).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare providers.
  • May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire and perform MA functions as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • IV certification.

Includes carrying, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pushing/pulling, seeing, speaking, standing, and walking.
