Sterile Processing Technician II

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at STERIS. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of medical instruments and equipment. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our Sterile Processing Department.
Key Responsibilities- Reprocess surgical trays post-surgery, ensuring they are decontaminated, cleaned, inspected, sterilized, and correctly assembled within a timely manner.
- Operate sterile processing washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic, and drying cabinets.
- Participate in regular on-site training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a Sterile Processing/Surgical Technologist program is preferred.
- 1 year of SPD or relatable experience (such as surgical or GI technician experience) and CRCST/CSPDT, or CST certification is required. OR CER/CFER if dedicated assignment in Endo processing.
- Must maintain certification by completing 12 Continuing Education Credit Hours annually.
- Demonstrated proficiency with most trays and the ability to perform all SPD responsibilities without close supervision.
